Annual Atlas Roofing Roadshow Swings Into Action in Raleigh

The crowd in Raleigh was pumped. Contractors from the Carolinas, Virginia and even Tennessee had spent the morning walking on roofing underlayment decks and performing the “ball drop test” on Atlas High Performance shingles and looking for cracking.

The Raleigh event was the kickoff for the 2016 Atlas Roadshow, a series of free events in six major markets around the U.S. connecting Atlas Roofing to the contractors who use or are interested in trying the products. In a departure from previous events, this year’s roadshow features more interactive and hands-on activities as well as a variety of breakout sessions designed to help contractors stand out from their competition and close more jobs.

In addition to taking a swing – literally – at competitors’ shingles, attendees were able to learn how to become Certified 3M Scotchgard™ Specialists, pick up valuable social media tips and get free professional headshots.

This year’s roadshow wrapped up with a game show and prizes. Think you could recognize national landmarks covered in blue-green algae? If so, you would be ready for the roadshow’s Family-Feud-style matchup called “What’s That Streaking?” Savvy attendees walked away with goodies ranging from 3M safety buckets to iPads and a grand prize $1,000 road trip gift card.
