Atlas Roadshow Wraps Up In Kansas CityBy Tiara Searcy, Marketing
What’s better than picking up the latest roofing product information and business tips? Getting product info and business tips at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, complete with a stadium tour, photos with team mascot K.C. Wolf and a chance to meet the energetic K.C. Chiefs cheerleaders.
The event was part of the 2016 Atlas Roadshow, an annual series of contractor events in six major markets around the country that connect Atlas Roofing with contractors who currently use or are interested in trying Atlas products. The roadshows are designed to help contractors strengthen the business skills that set them apart from the competition and boost their bottom line.
At our most recent event, participating attendees also got a behind-the-scenes look at the Kansas City Chiefs’ home field, one of the largest sports facilities in Missouri.
Attendees learned how Atlas shingles featuring Scotchgard™ Protector can help them land more jobs and how they could become a 3M Scotchgard™ Specialist. In addition, participants performed the “ball drop test,” dropping a heavy steel ball on Atlas High Performance shingles to simulate hail and then looked for cracking.
"I’ve always admired the quality of Atlas shingles, but the Roadshow gave me a greater appreciation for how they’re engineered."
Breakout sessions included:
- How HP Shingle Technology saves time and money.
- How Atlas shingles compare to other brands and how better shingles make the contractor’s job easier.
- How Atlas Class 4 Impact Resistant Shingles and premium underlayment can benefit any application.
- 10 tips to boost your social impact.
Attendees also got free professional headshots and a chance to win prizes in a game-show spoof called “What’s That Streaking?” The Kansas City Roadshow included more than $5,000 in giveaways, ranging from 3M safety buckets and iPads, to a grand prize of a $1,000 road trip gift card!
“I’ve always admired the quality of Atlas shingles, but the Roadshow gave me a greater appreciation for how they’re engineered,” said Scott Tafoya, owner and president of Arcosanti Inc., in Omaha, NE. “The breakout sessions were also useful. I have a list of things I learned that I plan to implement as soon as I get back to my office.”
